As the entry point into our team, the On-Demand Repair Technician role is a vital part of iFixOmaha. This position offers new employees the opportunity to gain comprehensive experience across all of our store locations, working on a wide range of devices and repair scenarios. This role is ideal for those looking to start their career in mobile device repair and build a foundation of technical skills and customer service excellence.

Prerequisites:

  • Graduate of the iFixAmerica Mobile Device Repair Academy

  • Certified in CTIA WISE Level I & II

  • Experienced and competent with iPhone and Android smartphone repair, iPad and tablet repair, computer hardware repair including laptop displays, hard drive replacement, keyboard and trackpad replacement

  • Micro-soldering experience is welcomed

  • Strong interpersonal communication skills

  • Successful completion of a criminal background check

  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings

  • Reliable personal transportation for traveling between store locations

  • Proven customer service experience

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

Career Progression and Compensation:

Starting at $18/hour, this position is designed for flexibility, allowing technicians to work on-demand shifts as needed based on store requirements. On-demand assignments are allocated following the seniority and success level within the on-demand technician roster, while also considering each technician's availability.

As technicians gain experience and demonstrate success, full-time positions become available, with opportunities for advancement based on seniority and performance. This structured career pathway allows team members to grow within the company and take on more responsibilities over time.

  • Willingness to engage in continuous learning and certification to stay updated with the latest repair techniques

  • Capable of physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
